Start-up of the lift truck industry
Korea’s initial home-based forklift marketplace was an open-import enterprise. In the 1960’s, Korea Machinery Co. Ltd. started to import assembled forklifts as part of a national equipment expansion venture. Initial product sales of this manufacturing equipment focused on large business groups, the armed forces and on state-run corporations. This ultimately led to a unification with Daewoo Heavy Industries Ltd. In 1976, the Forklift Division commenced trade operations throughout Korea to overhaul and sell this heavy equipment. By 1978, a forklift manufacturing plant was successfully completed. Continuous technical training grew to become the new focus for enhancing quality and product development.
The overall efficiency of the propane lift truck is remarkable. Because the propane cylinders can be changed in hardly any time, the machinery could be back on the job fairly quick for the reason that it experiences hardly any downtime. It is not like the electric lift truck where spare batteries must be acquired to be used while the original battery could take up to 8 hours of cooling time and 8 hours of charging time depending on the unit.
Safety
Because the fuel system of the propane lift truck is sealed; it is far safer to work as opposed to other models of forklift. The fuel cylinders are sealed to guarantee optimum safety and must adhere to strict national code specialization. Propane gas even functions with less energy than CNG gas, therefore, if any accident takes place, there is a system where the fuel is turned off. This greatly lowers the possible danger and damage that could occur. Refilling options are even beneficial for the operator. If they will prefer to refuel somewhere else, the cylinders could be transported to a refilling centre. If the business prefers, the refilling could be done on site instead.
